Finally, after quite a while, I hereby proudly present Horrorscope Magazine Issue 1! Since I began writing this magazine in 1995, I have established some great contacts with various bands, labels and other individuals within the scene. Along the road I have also employed another person and dragged him into the metal-world and in time, maybe more people will join the Horror-staff!  
I hope you find this magazine interesting, otherwise give it to someone who finds it interesting, because it has really been a hard work and costed a nice amount of money putting this mag together.  
Caused by various reasons I have decided not to include demo-reviews in this issue, but in issue 2 all received demos will of course be reviewed. So, bands - send your material.  
I'm also planning an in-depth Danish scene-report for the next issue, so all Danish bands who want to be a part of that should also send in all material they've got. Well, enough for now. Issue 2 is set to be released in the new '96, and will include interviews with Radakka, My Own Victim, Exmortem, Iniquity, Trend, Hypocrisy, Napalm Death, Meshuggah, Furious Trauma, Sadist, Asphyx, Sadness - just to mention a few. Until then - keep moshing!

This is the debut-album from Danish Exmortem, as well as it is the debut-release from the newly started Danish metal-label Euphonious Records. I have to admit that Exmortem really have had a lucky escape from this release. Musicwise, Exmortem play brutal mainstream death metal without adding anything to the style themselves, but still they do it in a very convincing way. The sound-quality is okay as well, very dark and brutal, though I would have liked the bass- drums to be a bit louder. An okay disc to invest your money in, but I hope Exmortem will try to create something never heard before on their next album.

Are you into thrash? If yes, Danish Furious Trama is definitely a band you have to check out! I am not sure how many albums they've released, but I know that this is their debut on Euphonious Records. agressive and ultra-great. The song "Smalltalker Motherfucker", which is one of my favorites, simply just tear you apart! Their musical skills are high, and Lars' vocals fit the music perfectly - very aggressive and screaming. The first six tracks are agressions mixed with brute strenght but then suddenly they turn into a ballad after which the vulgar display of power continues. Vocalist and guitarist Lars is also playing the bass in *Konkhra* (interview elsewhere) and how he has time to play in both bands you will discover in Horoscope #2 where we'll try to set up an interview with him. In the meantime - go buy "Eclipse"!

Submit: A Masterpiece from Death Metal Veterans

# ILLDISPOSED

A band that has been around since Denmark began spitting out death metal-bands is Illdisposed. After contributing on the "Fuck You We’re From Denmark Vol. 1"-compilation they sent out their debut-album "Four Depressive Seasons" in 1993. In 1994 they issued their second release, this time a mini-album, "Return From Tomorrow", and in 1995 their third release "Submit" saw the light of the day. By that occasion I finally, after several misunderstandings, caught an Illdisposed guitarist, Lasse B. Dark, on the phone from Århus. Submit and read on!

"I think that we have had a lucky escape from this album", Lasse begins. "In six months I will of course not listen to that shit anymore, but I think that "Submit" is much better than our previous releases. When you start recording an album, everything can go wrong. I think that all has worked out our way this time. I went down to the studio after the others, absolutely drunk as I was, heard the recordings. But what the hell, nobody hears that anyway exept from me and the rest of the band ‘cause they know me."

How did you come up with the title "Submit"? "Well, Bo (Summer, vocals - Red.) had made a song which he named "Submit" and we thought it sounded pretty cool, so we decided to entitle the album "Submit". It is a very simple title and in my ears the word is also great. We also considered other titles, some of which can’t remember by now, but actually that doesn’t matter anyway", Lasse says. "I think the cover is OK, maybe because it is dark. Morten (Gilsted, guitarist - red.) is very interested in dark stuff and he has a hand in these things too. And then I know that we had a good photographer, who did all the work on "Submit" too."

## JAN-OUT TOMMY-IN

Since the very beginning of Illdisposed, Jan Borsing has been behind the recorders whenever a new album was to be recorded. On "Submit" we decided to have a new producer, Tommy Hansen. So why this replacement, I asked Lasse. "Tommy is a hell of a producer and has produced a lot of albums. Jan is also a good producer, but what we made together with him simply didn’t work out. We are still good friends and we drink a lot of beers together but the cooperation just didn’t work out." And I am sure Tommy has done a good job again by producing another brilliant album.

## LARS-OUT ROLF-IN

Another replacement in the Illdisposed-camp is drummer Lars Hvid who has been replaced by the Caustic-guitarist, Rolf Hansen. "We had just returned from a tour in East-Germany when Lars called us up from his home in Esbjerg and told us that he wasn’t to play with us anymore. He simply wailed out working with Illdisposed. We think that Lasse needs a high level of satisfaction, you know, and when he started working again though as a hairdresser it was very difficult to manage both things. Well, what can we do! Rolf didn’t tell us until just before a tour, so he didn’t play right away!" But how did you keep in contact with Rolf then? "I talked to... what’s his name, the fat pig...? Eh, Perle! He told me that there was a drummer in Esbjerg who had moved to Århus, but I told him to fuck off ‘cause we HATE Esbjerg! It’s a god damn disgusting city! Not to provoke or anything, we just think so. But then we picked him up in Bo’s Skoda anyway and, well, now he’s playing in Illdisposed. Rolf is definately the best musician in the band. He plays better guitar than both Morten and I.”

Illdisposed is known for being a band that’s drinking as hell. So I thought that Lars’s departure could have something to do with that he couldn’t keep up with the drinking. But that wasn’t the case...”Well, Lars could drink a hell of a lot of beers. But Rolf also tries. He drinks until he pukes and then he continues to sleep. He really got the point of what it’s all about!”

**BEER, BEER AND BEER!!!**

“It’s hard to say how much we drink... Once there were some lists where you could tick off every time you drank a beer. There was a scale for 21 drinks, which is the usual amount of drinks per week a male can drink before it damages one’s health. So we ticked off the drinks we drank, and the scale was filled up within one day. I’m actually drunk every day, except from this Monday. Yesterday I was also fucking drunk because we were in Ikast watching football. Beer doesn’t cost a penny now adays either. You can get drunk as hell for around 60 Danish krones. In Illdisposed we drink the Danish lager “Krone”, but when we are tired of going all the way to buy ”Krone” we just buy ”Krudtugler” in Aldi. “Krudtugler” are brewed on Westfunen. I tried work experience in the brewery that makes “Krudtugler” once. But I wasn’t aloud to drink during the work experience, so I had to go on the toilet with some songs to drink all the time!”

**VIOLENCE AND ROLE MODELS**

The members of Illdisposed haven’t got anything to do with each other beside from playing in a band together. “Well, we actually never see each other in the band. I talk to my brother, Ronnie, who plays bass in Illdisposed, once in a while, and I also have a date with Bo and Jens Boning tonight, but beside that we almost never see each other. Actually, I can only stand the others when I am drunk! When we recorded “Four Depressive Seasons” we had a guitarist called Hans Vagner. He had to drink 12 beers before he could play guitar, and therefore we threw him out of the band. But today I also have to be drunk as hell before you hand me that a guitar!”, Lasse laughs. But that the members of Illdisposed can’t stand each other is only one problem. Illdisposed are also being accused for breaking everything back-stage when they are on tour. “Everybody says that it is our fault when something breaks”, Lasse says sighing, “but we never start breaking things back-stage”, he continues. “If, for example after a gig, with this seven support-band, always breaks the small trees down and tears posters from walls and other shit, so people know that they have visited the place -mark ”Wow, we play with Illdisposed we are tough“!!! and then people beat them up! But we never took the first step”, Lasse claims. Some people also blame Illdisposed’s vocalist Bo Summer for beating up the audience when they are playing live. “Well, I know that Bo sometimes happens to spread one's fingers and so on and sometimes he’s to close to smack the face of a spectator. But some people also think its very stupid to go up on stage and pit their finger in Boes mouth when we are playing. Some bands might think that that is cool but we don’t! Nobody should fuck with us when we’re playing, but if it happens? Then we just better go and fuck with Morten, god damn it!!!” Talking about the playing life it could also be very hectic if you had as many jobs as they got. “In February we’ll be on tour in Denmark and when you have just played some places We’ve never played before,” says Lasse and talk about the trip to Holland and that they also can plan Copenhagen and especially Horsens! It’s a nice city!,There exist some lunatics! Okay, Morten and Lasse plays Nerkoise apart from Illdisposed. But when he’s together with the guys who Shes' forgot all about them when he is going to take recordings. I always wanted to do some recordings at home, but well, he’s also an idiot! There are of course some bands in Copenhagen we’ve got style, but deep inside I know they are some spastics anyway!”

**TEAM-WORK**

When the solidarity in Illdisposed is as low as it is, then how the hell do they make their songs?” When we have a song we then listen to what we’ve got, and see how bad and shitty the song is. He never shows up at rehearsals either, and he never rehearses with us. Then, when we’re going to record an album we has to pay for the expenses as far as we work. Then he hopes there are few euros when we’re finished, so on the road, we can do fucking “Great” team-work, eh!, I wondered if Lasse heard the same thrash metal like me, and he replied: “Yes, of course. All this English faggot-pop from the mid 80’s. I’ve listened to such a few Depeche Modes. I think. When you turn 23-24 years old you start accepting the irony. Once I heard heavy metal again and learned that its another style. Maybe I was too mistaken just like before. “Reign in Blood”-album but now I don’t listen to that shit anymore. I mean fucking death metal-band is formed every day, y'know! Now I mostly listen to pop and disco and so."

## DIE KINGDOM

As some of you Danish readers might know, Illdisposed wrote the soundtrack for Lars Von Trier's movie "Riget" (could be translated as "The Kingdom"). The soundtrack is entitled "Die Kingdom" and can be found on the latest Illdisposed release "Submit". I asked Lasse how they got this job. "Mega Records, who released the soundtrack for the first "Riget" called us up one day. They had heard our records and thought that we were cool, and they wanted us to make a soundtrack for the next "Riget". So we went in to over Tommy and recorded "Die Kingdom". It is a pop-song with the usual four chords 'cause you can't just make an ordinary gore-song to this project, it is a soundtrack after all," he says, not unlike other bands that have recorded video-plays for Illdisposed. "We were supposed to record it with song, but we didn't have the time, 'cause we were supposed to shoot with a camera crew the day after. We would shoot in different locations and we'll hit the city and make a lot of ordinary rings go mad and run amok!! We have also considered being arrested by the police, but the problem with that is that you can't show things like that in a video anywhere, if it isn't a put-up job. But it is expensive as hell to rent police-costumes. It would be rather easy for us to get arrested by the police though, we could just break some windows and so. We have also some other ideas for the videos, but nothing has been planned yet!"

## BETRAYED!!!

Illdisposed have been labelled on the Danish record-company Progress Records for quite a while now, so I found it natural to ask about the relationship between label and band as it was the present time. "Right now", Lasse says, "the relationship has become mixed. In the beginning when we released our first album Progress were cool as hell and everything was great, the contacts and everything were signed, but as time passed by they became very stressed, so now there isn't like a direct cooperation when it comes to promotion. It is more like we are some kind of strangers. Progress tries to be butt-kissers as some other bands on this label. Sometimes Progress call us up asking if the band still exists, 'cause we never talk to them. But it is possible that we start talking German..." What??? Are you looking for another label? "Well, it would cost very much if Nuclear Blast would buy us out of the deal with Progress, but if we get a good offer then we're off!"

What about sales figures, I asked Lasse. "I haven't got any sales figures, Progress won’t tell us how we sell and that kind of shit, and that means money! Every three month we are supposed to get money from Progress but for a long time that has not happened again", Lasse sighs. We also had a great chat with the Progress who did a great job for us then. And what about future plans, I inquired. "Well we are in the studio now to record between that they wanted their asses, so that they went up and paid for what they miss, and they get as good socials that they did never before."

They are busy as hell, I asked why they are upset, and he says, "If we're stuck with Nuclear Blast, it would cause a big problem for us, 'cause the more we grow, the more the situation is likely to stay the same, before we get into the top of their label. But first we must sell 10,000!! There's plenty of time to do so! What happens till then is more like myself in the last album. I do everything myself now. That doesn't mean that we are one of those bands who pose beside what we take care of ourselves, whereas Konkhra get one page four-colour ad's in all sorts of magazines", he snaps.

The end of this interview is closing, so how is the future looking for Illdisposed, I asked Lasse curiously. "The future for Illdisposed is dark and worse", Lasse says, "we could do no more than the day...on it is holding a plastic bag in one or be home and die hanging on it", Lasse asks Bo, whereafter he continues the interview: "About my project-band Goat then an album will be released there without “where you at the same place everything is repeated because I did it myself too. But we'll release whatever when we get it released, so I ever get a label started... The band is very strong to say that it's hard to make a single to the world which is still all the black metal bands in Denmark and our albums are released to us don't understand the good or thin”, Lasse says as he snaps in the air by Bo's clumsy paws, Lasse ends this interview by saying, "Buy the Goat-album when it is released!!"

Infernal Torment are definately the fastest Danish death metal-band! The Band, though, Don’t come up with anything new - they just play death metal the best they’ve been taught with strong influences from U.S.-based Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation. The sound is pretty muddy and chaotic and the music just goes in through one of your ears and out through the other. But if Infernal Torment’s goal was to become the fastest death-band from DK, they succeeded in that part.

...And finally it came, the follow-up to Invocator's previous full-length CD "Weave The Apocalypse" which, if you haven’t figured it out yet, is called "Dying To Live". Brilliant thrash is what Invocator once again delivers here in '95. The music is still technical thrash metal, though with more melody and catchiness than previous releases. Lyrically "Dying To Live" dissociates from all godly father-figures who in ages have tyrannized man to close, instead of open up oneself. It requests you to live while you're dying instead of die while you're living! Invocator's well-played, tight, technical, melodious in-your-face thrash reminds me a lot of Meshuggah and the like of that, so if you haven't heard Invocator yet and you like Meshuggah you shouldn't miss this one. Go buy now!

With four CD-releases behind, Konkhra might be the most well-known death metal-band from Denmark. Their latest effort (and most brutal to date) "Spit Or Swallow" shows a great development within the band, starting out as a death/thrash combo and progressing into this very brutal and heavy death'n'roll!! When "Spit Or Swallow" was released around Easter 1995 Konkhra captured a lot of new fans and they even got the possibility to support Deicide and Suffocation on their Euro-tour, and they agreed... of course! It was during this Euro-tour Horrorscope caught Anders Lundemark, vocals, guitar and only original member left, for an interview. Get Hooked!

It has almost been a year since "Spit Or Swallow" was cast upon this planet, so an up-dating on what has happened since then seemed to be a fair question to start with. "The album was released in April and at first we played some concerts with Grope during May. After that we went on to play at the Roskilde-festival which was indeed pretty cool! After Roskilde we went on playing some gigs, this time also with Grope in September/October and now we are here!" But you are!!! Since a year has passed after the "S.O.S"-album we found it quite interesting if Anders still liked that album. "Yes, I like it! But then again, I know that the next will be even better. That's the way it is and always a half year ahead of everybody else! The songs we are playing tonight are from "S.O.S." and therefore one year old, but to some it may still be new material, not to us though."

*GEFÜLLI* & KONKHRI-RIFFS

"Spit Or Swallow" is an album that totally differs from previous Konkhra-releases. So how was the songs actually born? "The album wasn't made with any strict rules - I do it my way! And when I hear a guitar-riff I immediately know if it's a Konkhra-riff or not." Changing from massive death on their "Sexual affecti..." and "Wrought"-album and growing into death'n'roll seemed to be a step in a prefixed fashion for a Konkhra, but on their next album be in the same way or... Will they surprise us once again? "Well at one, Kim, our new guitarist has been to make material as well as I. It's been a long time since I had someone to work along with, Claus, our old guitarist, and I had both different tempers which made it hard for us to work together. I was a lot faster to produce new material compared to Claus who had problems at the time." So what? Now it is nice to have a guitarist... "It works out well since he is kind and knows how much Lars (bass-ed.) has changed. We wanted to make this being something the two of us determined" Mentioning Claus what actually did go on back in the days of death when Konkshra was called Anders what really happened between you two since now there's someone else at the other end of the band. "He left because the stress was too much," explains . He worked some more and had some attempt and some more do with... And he chose on his own. We do still hang out together though. Claus also drives our tour-bus and helps us out."

So, Claus out - Kim in! How did you find Kim? "He just came to the rehearsal-room with his big mouth and started chatting bla. bla. bla! We hung out for a couple of months before he decided to join - it just happened!"  

## ON TOUR WITH DEICIDE & SUFFOCATION  
"The tour has been very succesful untill now. There have been a lot of people at the shows and Deicide is a very controversial band to be touring with!  
For example in Eindhoven, some Christians tried to convert me before I went on stage! We have been playing for crowds of between 900-1500 individuals. This is actually one of the smallest clubs on this tour. Usually it is halls and places that have been visiting! Nils spoke about the relationship to the other bands: "Our relationship with the other bands is really good, you know! The last tour we did with Macabre and Immolation went so well that we thought this tour also would turn out very well. Though they have got two new members since the last tour we still get along extremely good. The guys from Deicide are also okay. They don't say that much though, but they are nice and I like them very much!"  

## HOMEGROWTH  

As some of you readers might have seen or heard of, Konkhra has recently send out a video which already has been showed on MTV's "Headbanger's Ball". At the time we did this interview none of us had ever seen it, so we got Anders to explain a little bit about it. "Our new video contains "Facelift", "Warzone", "Spit Or Swallow", "Drowning" and a jam-session plus a lot of extra shit." Hmmm, great introduction (?).  

## ENTOMED MEETS KONKHRA  
Due to informations from Konkhra's label Progress Records, a new band featuring members from Konkhra and Entombed was being talked about and a release was supposed to be on its way. Anders explained it the following way: "The thing is, that Entombed have been very busy. That there hasn't been any results so far doesn't mean that there never will be, we just have to wait until we've got the time. I have spoke with Nicki but I think he drinks too much. The project results in some material where both our styles are represented; drum-rythm from Entombed and guitar from Kim, because there is much more steel in Kim’s guitar!"  

As mentioned, Konkhra are labelled on Progress Records. In fact Konkhra's first CD-opus was one of the first CDs ever to come out on Progress, when the label was called Progress Red labels. So how is the relationship between Progress and Konkhra after all these years?  
"We have some very mixed feelings about Progress at the moment. What I mean is that some of the things they do are stupid and other things are cool! They have told us that we are the band that is treated best on Progress so I guess we've better be satisfied." So, has the thing that they were very helpful to you in the start in their relationship? "I think it has pushed us a bit ahead anyway. Actually we were very surprised! We didn’t expect to sell that much before we had played some concerts and considering that we haven't done our concerts in Copenhagen or Århus, I claim I am very satisfied. Our new songs really seem to attract people. During our last concert people went totally crazy and bought like maniacs! I think we have become some sort of Cult Object!!!"

Rise of Konkhra: A Year After 'Spit Or Swallow'

In February '95 the debut-album from Denmark's uncrowned black/death metal kings was cast upon this planet. The band was formed in late 1991 and already the same year a debut-demo was released, which was received very good in the underground. The band played some local gigs and went through some line-up changes before they, in early 1993, went into the "Inside Studio" to record their second effort. With this new demo(n) "Astaroth", the band was placed among the elite of the Danish unsigned death metal bands, and soon things happened faster than ever. They were featured on the 2nd "Fuck You We're From Denmark"-compilation CD and were broadcast on a major television channel. Even had an interview which had been broadcasted twice! Though the band had been on hold most of the time because of the of course their stop-play in the late ’94. We've started to jam a bit with the old Illdisposed drummer Lars Hald, and we try to make some new material with him. In '96 we've planned to do a Euro-tour and we are now trying to make some new songs for that."

VIGOROUS DEBUT  
"Personally I think that "View To The Dim" is a very vigorous debut-disc. I think that we've chosen the right songs to put on the record. The album has almost one year has past since "View To The Dim", the band's debut-album, was released, so here is what has happened since then: "We haven't played that many gigs since the release of our debut-album only here on Sealand and in Copenhagen and some other small places. In October we were in East-germany to play, which was a fucking great experience. There was a lot great promotion for us in both newspapers and radios. We've got a lot of gig-offers in Jutland which we unfortunately had to turn down because our guitarist is truck-driver and he had a lot of overtime, so the consumer would also rather be on the safe side, rather than to get angry. 

been received quite okay by our fans, and it has got some good reviews in both newspapers and other music-magazines. I am almost 100% satisfied with the album. There are places where the sound is far too muddy and there are also other mistakes and errors etc. But it was also recorded in only 7 days!" Mr. Poulsen apologizes. Before "View..." was released, Dominus also released an E.P. for Molon Lave Records... were contacted by Molon Lave to record songs for "Astaroth"-E.P. which never was released. To record four (?) songs and of course two songs on the split-album, "Rest In Pieces". Slaughtered two pigs to eat with bread! So all this let to that we dumped them, 'cause luckily we hadn't signed a contract with them. After leaving Molon Lave, were contacted by Andreas from Progress Records, who told us to record some songs on a 4-tracker so that he could hear what we were doing. He heard it - and he ate it! "I have always done everything in Dominus, both music and lyrics. In the old days our songs were very much inspired by satanism, but suddenly there were just too many bands writing lyrics about satanism, where many of them couldn’t even vouch for what they were writing about. Now our lyrics is a mixture of satanism and Northern mythology, which is also a very interesting thing. Next time we’ll record an album, the mixture might be totally different!"

I guess that many of you who read this interview have already heard "View To The Dim", and noticed that the outtro "Weiv Ot Eht Mid" is quite strange... I was wondering what’s really said in that song. "Almost everybody asks me that question!", Michael laughs, "but okay! It’s just a sentence from the song "View To The Dim" where I say something like "Die from my red sword", which then, after recording it, was played backwards. In the end I also wrote a short song that I’ve recorded backwards, so that I say something backwards when that was displayed backwards. Confused?" (Uhhh, long story, eh?) But let’s get back to the music, what about sources of inspirations...? "Both me and the rest of Dominus have a very broad taste of music. I can’t mention two or three bands that inspire us. It might as well be a picture, thoughts or sounds from the street that inspire me. But the reason why I bought my first guitar was because I heard some Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath, DIO and King Diamond are also my favorite bands."

LECTURES IN POSITIVE SATANISM

In Michael’s spare time, he once travelled from school to school all over the country, giving lectures in positive satanism: "But I don’t do that anymore", Michael says, "Now it’s more interviews done through the phone." But what is positive satanism then, I asked him. "Generally, people think that satanism is synonymous for cruelty and bad things - it’s not! I try to explain what positive satanism is all about, what kind of things that shines with satanism in the dark. Things that people don’t realize that it’s not all satanism is about." To me, satanism is both good and bad things. I people are afraid of that. But really, everybody hates, they are just afraid of admitting it."

It was around Christmas when I did this interview with Michael, so I found it quite natural to ask him if he celebrates the Christian tradition. "Yes, I do celebrate Christmas, I have my parents home in Ringsted. I have two sisters with kids and the children just love Christmas, all the colours and the presents that are given at Christmas. We get something good for dinner and the children get their presents and so on. But I don’t celebrate Christmas with Christmas-songs, you know - I am just there!"

BLACK METAL

A lot of blackmetal bands are releasing albums at the moment, like the metal-world have gone through a blackmetal storm! That doesn’t bother Michael, he’s laughing almost as he says that "I love black metal!", he begins, "It’s not so much that style, I might use just buy every single CD because those releases are painted in their faces, and that’s not my way. The Norwegian blackmetal bands are for sure the best. Some of those groups are Immortal, Storm, Satyricon and Mayhem. Then there are those Swedish black metal bands who just try to emulate the Norwegians way of playing, and are not trying to create a style of their own. And there have also been some church-fires, but those things they have to control themselves. I really don’t have a personal meaning about all that stuff. But I wouldn’t have done anything like that myself. I think there are better ways to fight the Christians. Okay, I do understand that they think it’s blasphemous to build churches on Odin’s land, but I won’t interfere in their business over there."

PREPARE FOR MAJOR CHANGES

It has been a year since the debut-disc was released, so it can't take long before Dominus will release their next album, hopefully. But will it be in the same style as the debut? "Well, now we’ve got a new drummer and we have about 3-4 songs on stock. One of the problems with our old drummer and guitarist was also that we couldn’t come to an agreement in which direction we wanted our music to go. 

will be out in ‘96, won’t be a "View To The Dim 2". We have a lot of new things to offer. The new songs will also be more swinging than previously and they’ll be more heavy and brutal than the old stuff. But you can prepare yourself for major changes!"

The Rise of Denmark's Uncrowned Black/Death Metal Kings

The best and most promising Danish black/death metal band, Dominus, have released a formidable debut CD in the shape of "View To The Dim". It starts with an intro taken from the film "Dead Calm" where after hell breaks out! The music is, as mentioned, black/death metal of highest character with a good portion of originality. Beside a lot of brutality, this CD also offers swinging, catchy parts. Unfortunately the music gets a little messed up and the production muddy now and then, but quickly these four guys get things straightened out. Lyrically "View To The Dim" is "a trip through the 9th century’s darkness and mystic", as Progress expresses it, so what we are dealing with here is Northern Mythology and positive satanism for the intelectual. This band really deserves your attention with an album so brutal, so brilliant! (Read interview elsewhere.)

Brutality and Brilliance: Dominus' 'View To The Dim'

Danish Trend have now released their debut-album "Bitch?" which is a very funny experience. They play a mixture of rap and hardcore and do it indeed very good. I especially enjoyed listening to the "hidden" track! The guys sound much better on CD  
than they did on their demos,  
so if you have their demos  
and like them, this CD won’t  
disappoint you. I would prefer  
to see Trend live, though,  
than listening to this album,  
‘cause on stage they are  
fucking brilliant, doing many  
crazy things like invite  
people on stage to get tattoed  
etc! Definately a live-band  
but also okay on CD!
