Hi all you Wonderful Rhythms Clatters!  

Wonderful that you bought this first issue of our brilliant mag! We've used all the space in it so there is not much space to do doodles or to write booghaao's at::! We got much more stuff than reckoned so we had to leave off the most boring parts of some of the stories. But in the next issue, we hope to have more pages! It's the second one we'll have inn.† with Bolt Thrower, Hate Crew, Grossfirrts, Edel Pimpers, and we also hope to get some Wet Carwaver, Hersery, Sacret Stoch, Saint Nipples, Concrete Block, President Fetch, Moruerencer Macabre, Ripping Corpses to line up the way we hope that the best are to ever this issue

Oh, and If there is anyone who doesn't like the ills will write there is no time to meet? because we need to go to bed for you to find out more from the rest of because we need to do some spread better about 1 picture. Therefore need Jacob or 200 of us is going get some fee; it is this burns to read.

Introducing the Vibrant World of Rhythmic Clatter: A Sneak Peek into Our First Issue

Henrik 'Henk' Kjær has left DesExult and his replacement is Kesse from Crionic. The current DesExult line-up is:

INVOCATOR

INVOCATOR (Jacob-guitar & vocals, Schultzguitar, Otto-bass and Simon-drums) are from Esbjerg, Denmark and their live-demo is taped in front of a local audience. The sound is plenty of drums and vocals, some bass & a teeny-weeny bit of guitars so the tape has to be played very loud before you can hear it at all. INVOCATOR plays hard and precise with a lot of killbreaks and they keep it going all the way through the concert. INVOCATOR are damn good at playing together which is fuckin' impressive as they only have existed for 1/2 a year!! If you are an avid listener of SLAYER and old CELTIC this demo certainly should be of interest to you. Let's hope the best for them and let's hope we are going to hear more from INVOCATOR in the near future. Invocator: The Rising Force from Denmark

# MENTAL DECAY

OOHHH, it’s great to see that the danish underground is developing! This time it’s a band called MENTAL DECAY. They were formed in 85 under the name CRONOS which played old FROST/POSSESSED inspired thrash. But there was no advance and after a concert in autumn 86 CRONOS went to dissolution. Then in February 87 the band was reformed. The line-up was and is now: Allan-guitar Kim-vocals, Henrik-guitar, Steff-drums and Lars-bass. Then in October 87 they went into the studio where they recorded their ‘Demo 1’. It’s a 5 track demo and the trax are all quite good made. The music is average thrash like SLAYER, KREATOR etc but also a little DEATH ANGEL can be heard. Unfortunately the guitar sound is very bad and the trax are all too much alike each other but if I should pick up a fave track it must be ‘Endless Destruction’. Well the demo is what you might call average and it belongs to your demo collection if you haven’t already got it. OK, here’s an interview with Allan & Kim:

## HOW DID THE DIFFERENT MEMBERS GET TOGETHER?
Henrik, Steff and me played in CRONOS and we knew Lars who knew Kim who we tried as a singer and we liked him so he joined.

## ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE DEMO?
Yes, but it’s quite satisfied with the sound. The bass drum are too low and the production is not as strong standard but we’re quite satisfied. We’ve only had 100 copies in only a month.

## WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DRINK?
I think most of us like beer best. I like Vodka, Pernod and Rum but I hate Tequila: It makes me puke!!

## HAVE YOU GOT ANY FAVE TRAX ON THE DEMO?
Yeah, I think ‘Eat The Posers Guts’, ‘Endless Destruction’ and ‘The Final Scar’ are the best.

## WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE DANISH HARDCORE/THRASH SCENE?
It’s slowly getting better but it’s still far too small. Fortunately there’s beginning to come more bands. Once there was only ARTILLERY but now there are bands as INVOCATOR, HELLRAISER & others so it’s a step forward. There is also more thrash concerts now and for that we can thank ROCK UGLE! Let’s hope it keeps going this way.

Rise and Revival: The Journey of Mental Decay in the Danish Thrash Scene

# MOURNER

The long awaited debut demo by the Danish band MOURNER is out! I was looking very forward to hear it and it didn't disappoint me at all. The sound is unbelievable good (thanx to Morten). If I didn't know it was a demo tape I would've thought it was a record! The drumsound is what you call unfuckingleivable and so are the guitar and vocals and I could go on. They comes from the same city as DESEXULT but luckily they don't seem to be influenced by DESEXULT. The line-up is: Andreas-bass, Dimse-drums, Palle-guitar and the singer from DESEXULT called Steen-vocals. The demo is called 'Welcome To My House' and it contains 4 very special and unique thrash-jazz-blues-rock-death-crossover-classical tracks! Confused ?? You won't be after buying their demo.
The first track is a quite speedy one. Palle is doing a great classical intro and they are of course very tight. The track continues in a very strange style: Sometimes fast, sometimes jazzy etc.
The intro on the next track is the theme from the famous MUPPET SHOW!!? It isn't as fast as the first track but it's still very weird. Don't get me wrong their style is new and unique! No other band is playing like MOURNER. The two final trax are great but not as weird as the two first. My favorite of the four songs must be the third because it's the fastest but the other has a lot more musicianship to offer.

Rumours says that Steen is out of MOURNER. I can't say if it's true but we can only hope the best for them. When you're going to hear this demo you can have it for 35, 8,10 DM or 40 dkr. Yeah, we know it's cheap but we can assure you that it is worth it!

Debut Demo Release: Welcome to My House by MOURNER

RIGID DOMAIN must certainly be the new danish hope. In it there's members from PROPHETS OF DOOM and SLEDGE PIMPLES so you know that the musicians in this band know what they're doing. The lineup was as follows: Torben Askholm (vocals), Benjamin Mason (guitar), Claus Petersen (guitar), Niels Bitschbrug (bass) and James Rettmer (drums). Niels is playing in SLICED PIMPLES and Torben has been the singer in PPOD for a long time. The demo 'For life Existence' is a 3-tracker and nearly all trax are good. When I say nearly I mean that the last track "Rigid Domain" is rather strange. It seems like they've run out of ideas on this track cos it's the same riffs all the way through. But of course Torben's voice makes the track good. He's singing 1000 times better on these tracks than on all his old pop tapes. The other two numbers are also good but the only place where this tape's not extremely high is in the guitar sound. The sound is very bad and I can't understand it cos the rhythm guitar it's amazing great played, RIGID DOMAIN reminds me of FLOTSAM & JETSAM and SAVAGE THRUST but RIGID DOMAIN aren't as heavy as the before mentioned groups. The songs are very well made. Except the last one of course. Unfortunately I don't think RHCD DOMAIN will make it very long cos the drummer James left and WOLFSBANE are recording a new demo at Jacob's in a pretty short time. I think that RIGID DOMAIN do far better than POD; I don't know the price of the demo but $ should certainly do it.

The New Danish Hope: Rigid Domain Emerges

Now what we've got here is an excellent fun/core/thrash band where the members really can play.  
SLICED PIMPLES are from the same city as RIGID DOMAIN & PROPHETS OF DOOM, and the line-up is: Claus (Vocals), Per (guitar), Meles (bass) and Andreas (drums). The demo "No Parental Advisory" is a must for every hardcore freak, mosher and thrash nerd. It hasn't got any too good sound though but you can easily hear what they're doing. Claus isn't a too good singer but if you give the demo a few listenings you'll find him quite funny and amazing. It's very seldom I hear a singer who can growl like Claus. Maybe Kam Lee! They've got a great humor of course: very good if you can laugh when you hear them sing "Jeg Går O Moderne Fredag" in their version of the Danish nursery song "Hjulene På Bussen". Also the band have a surreal sense of humor which should never be restrained or limited. Unfortunately I can't give you a track list because my cassette has been erased by a genius cause I used a very old cassette. Argh!!!

Most of the members which on the cover with the band also a little Skein and Autonomous are Ex and Ashrati + Toxoplasma. No demos at the moment but MCD and SLICED PIMPLES are some very nice bands of course. Back to the fun stuff again. The song is named "My Mom's a Zombie", a funky ska song which works very well. Endulgence on SLICED PIMPLES second demo is called "Jimmy Drinks a Fish" of course there's also some songs-intro sounding rather mostly with stuff are based on some funky beats and stupid riffs. Also punks go pogo! But funny, so we say like Sliced Pimples singer Claus: "This is no Parental Advisory Demo". Songs are just what the demos say all times. There work really good and funny with them on tape when they are recorded a bit good also. And they'll sure make you very happy so you'll like this very kind of stuff on this tape. If not, well, go for Thrash/Crossover stuff with loud kick drum, etc. The prices are: 8 track demo 8 US $, 10 DM, 40 Dkr. Write:
