You've got tapes?

Well, if you’ve got some tapes, or audiofiles, I’m very interested in hearing from you.

Utter care is taking when handling your tapes, but tapes are fragile, and sometimes accidents happen (although, until now I haven’t ruined a single tape when ripping).

Please contact me by mail, or Facebook ”Danish Demo Dungeon”.

How to record the tapes:

You need:

  • A cassetteplayer in fairly good condition
  • A computer
  • Software (”Reaper” is pretty cheap - highly recommended)
  • A soundcard with two inputs
  • Cables, probably phono-jack

When recording, please go for 44.1 khz, 24 bit. 24 bit may seem a bit overkill as it is only tapes, but 24 bit ensures a much larger headroom. In other words, you don’t need to push the recording level - as long as it doesn’t clip it will be fine. Clipping sucks!
