Rigid Domain

RIGID DOMAIN must certainly be the new danish hope. In it there's members from PROPHETS OF DOOM and SLEDGE PIMPLES so you know that the musicians in this band know what they're doing. The lineup was as follows: Torben Askholm (vocals), Benjamin Mason (guitar), Claus Petersen (guitar), Niels Bitschbrug (bass) and James Rettmer (drums). Niels is playing in SLICED PIMPLES and Torben has been the singer in PPOD for a long time. The demo 'For life Existence' is a 3-tracker and nearly all trax are good. When I say nearly I mean that the last track "Rigid Domain" is rather strange. It seems like they've run out of ideas on this track cos it's the same riffs all the way through. But of course Torben's voice makes the track good. He's singing 1000 times better on these tracks than on all his old pop tapes. The other two numbers are also good but the only place where this tape's not extremely high is in the guitar sound. The sound is very bad and I can't understand it cos the rhythm guitar it's amazing great played, RIGID DOMAIN reminds me of FLOTSAM & JETSAM and SAVAGE THRUST but RIGID DOMAIN aren't as heavy as the before mentioned groups. The songs are very well made. Except the last one of course. Unfortunately I don't think RHCD DOMAIN will make it very long cos the drummer James left and WOLFSBANE are recording a new demo at Jacob's in a pretty short time. I think that RIGID DOMAIN do far better than POD; I don't know the price of the demo but $ should certainly do it.
