I was positively surprised when I heard this tape. Their debut tape was pretty good, but this is really smokin’. It sounds as if the band is getting hold of playing their agressive death/thrash-like music.

- Vi blev dannet for nogle år siden, og i januar '93 lavede vi "Entering Deception"-demoen, herefter var der nogle problemer med forskellige ting, så vi måtte stoppe for en tid. Det kører dog nu. Demoet blev optaget ind en ommer for vi er egentlig rimeligt tilfredse med det.

*Hvem har skrevet de forskellige numre som er på demoen?*

- Det har vi alle gjort. Nogen mennesker vælger eet bestemt numre som deres favorit, men vi ser mere på helheden. Jeg vil sige at mange af numrene er blevet til i løbet af den ti. ko periode vi har haft gang i. "Furious Trauma" søger lén vel ikke et længere og længeres *føring*

- Hvorfor fik I Paw Nielsen til at lave det? Jeg synes det er ok. Jeg har fulgt med i, hvordan coveret ser ud, siden han tegnede "tem bruger ud ha 6esn samfig Aer seqe teégneings

Unveiling Inquity: The Making of 'Entering Deception'

It's no secret that I think Iniquity have been overlooked by the entire underground media, and they and their music deserve all the attention they can get. So way after the deadline for this issue, I managed to get Iniquity's Brian to stop by the office.

- **What is the current situation in the Iniquity camp? Any deal?**
  Things are progressing! No deal so far. There have been some line-up problems, but we are working on it.

- **Why haven’t you got a deal? They don’t reconsider like your bandprofile or do you think you are not recognized?**
  I don't know about the band-photos, but it's hard for a band to get recognition, especially when people like you don't write about us.

- **How do you view the old Iniquity material today?? Especially thinking about your "Entering Deception" demo? Are you proud or ashamed about it?**
  I'm definitely **not** ashamed about it. I think it's pretty violent - at least at the time it was released. No fucking Benediction-ripoffs!! No way!

- **Your "newer" material is much more "deep" and complicated than your previous material. A conscious move towards technical arranging?**
  First of all because we are better musicians. It’s a general thing that happens along the way. You know, we want to act of past things. For example: I do some things faster now. This is also a lot of the "old" stuff, that doesn't necessarily stand out anymore. And we try and do it more technical but we will always write music that we find fun, violent, and, well, I suppose beautiful.

- **So the newer material suits yourself? Or is it more like some kind of trend going on?**
  The answer to this would be yes and yes. (?)

- **How do you see the Danish scene then? There aren’t that many technical stuff around, and the "better" stuff has that special "Danish"?**
  Definitely not. As you say, there aren’t that many technical bands but there are some. There are some very relevant bands and some that are not as much. But they work hard and they strive with the limited possibilities.

- **I think the people/bands who have that sort of opinion are hypocrites. It is simply trendy. That’s to say: "I couldn't agree more". :[Ed]:. I listen to a lot of death metal, so do I too, release some cannot be made. For many it simply doesn’t matter. 
I think the point is simply that it is a very primitive-sounding kind of band. Really honest. More like, shoplifter - smoking weed every day!

- **You have been ten years, and nowadays this scene is hanging around on to a little bit around, and he did that yourself. Do you believe you can alter that stuff?**
  What - if you’re loud and play in my own experience it just a competition more aggressive and if fans ignore it and let them continue!!

- **How am I supposed to answer that one?**
  You’re supposed to say that you would help me. Of course!!

- **What? It was nice of my comment I think to help them.**

- **Thank you very much. Well!! You’ll love them even harder you’re where then glo - swap?

Dette er et lidt ældre demo, (optaget jan. '92) men da det ikke blev anmeldt i nr. 2, må det selv­sagt anmeldes her! INIQUITY er en death/grind trio fra Bjæverskov nær Kbh. Demoet her indeholder 4 udmærkede numre, dog uden de helt store ny­tænkninger. Lyden er ikke specielt fed, men den passer alligevel på en eller anden måde til musikken. Giv disse 3 fyre en chance, de har fortjent det!

Demo Review: Iniquity's Early Death/Grind Sound

There is an overall progression to spot here, especially in the intensity of the music. INIQUITY have managed, apart from so many others, to make their music really interesting, and with such a devastated vocalist who really sounds pissed one can't find other words than joyful when describing this music.

I really hope INIQUITY promotes this tape as much as possible, as it really deserves it.

New Danish Band Releases Debut Demo "Entering Deception"

INIQUITY: Promo '93
Dette er INIQUITY's opfølger til det aldrende demo "Entering Deception" fra det tidlige '92. Stilen er ændret en del. Blevet mere teknisk, mindre larmende og faktisk rigtig fed! Fast keyboard i line-uppen er en klart positiv udvikling, ligesom Brian Petrowksys vokal er blevet noget bedre kontrolleret. Stilen kunne faktisk godt beskrives som ultrabrutal grind, med et keyboard til at skabe balancen mellem det melodiske og det brutale. Lydbilledet er også fedt, selvom vokalen gerne måtte have ligget længere fremme, og styrt lidt mere. Men sammenlagt et virkelig fedt demo, i et næsten nyt line-up. A new death/thrash act from little Denmark. The cover is done in two colours and the art on it is made by Paw Nielsen. All in all a nice presentation of the band. Unfortunately they haven't spend much money on getting a decent sound.  
It's really crazy that a band of this calibre didn't spend money on a studio! This sound actually sucks and they know it themselves. I normally judge bands on their music and not only based on the pure sound, but in this case the thin guitar & bass have treble rough, fuzzy drum-sound. Not familiar with the numerous new drummer guys so obviously the former drummer is the one responsible for it. Straight 80s cals tape. Mostly uptight doses some nice things, but the breaks sound really abrupt. The bass can't even be heard, but I wish they'd put it in some raw thrash rhythm guitar. Anyway I for wish they'll enter a studio rather than the heart of the best said band has to offer. As said before, the sound and production destroys a mere resemblance of the tape.

Echoes of Untapped Potential: A Raw Danish Thrash Demo

INIQUITY *"Promo tape 9/93."* I sure waited a long time for this. Was it worth the wait then? Yeah, I think so. Iniquity has improved a lot since their debut demo. They've moved away from the thrashy DM to a more brutal, pounding sort of Death/Grind. Tight drums, cool guitar playing, a little too monotonous keyboard playing and some really deep vocals are the ingredients here. With this effort, Iniquity states that they're one of the best DK-acts. Despite the fact that the guitars are too low in the mix and the vocals too ordinary, I've got nothing to complain about about here. I advise you to check this out now!
