**FOUR DEPRESSIVE SEASONS**

ILL DISPOSED, a band that have been voted the most brutal band to emerge out of Denmark. They’ve recently released their debut CD on PROGRESS RED LABELS, and it’s a really cool album. I decided to have a chat with their extreme front man and Sub Woofer Bo Summer.

- **Well Bo, please inform the readers about the bandhistory of ILL DISPOSED?**

  "But there actually isn't any. What did it all start with. I think we played in 2 different bands, no I played in both. Then one was called MOTTORAIN, L and Lasse came from there, I played the bass there because I beat up the regular guy. I entered ILL DISPOSED with Michael (Knoevels drama) and a guy called Jesse. Then we played with this guy called SLASHER, and after that we had this ex-drummer from the band, I played the bass there, Lasse played the guitar, and then we found out I couldn't play bass anymore, then we recruited Ronnie."

- **Then you recorded a demo?**

  "Mjaah, then we recorded a demo tape 6 months after the formation. Actually we got a contract without having played live or anything."

- **But there was something about that you had a deal on a French label?**

  "Yeah, it was Infest Records. It was due to them that we recorded ‘Four Depressive Seasons’. Actually I was ready to send the DAT master to France when Andreas called me up and said ‘Goddam mit næv er Lars Larsen, jeg har det cool tibud til dig’. And so our first offer in fact got ‘rejected’."

- **But that wasn’t the only thing. You also had some weird trouble with your manager?**

  "Yeah, well we were supposed to meet with our manager, Esben Sloth Sørensen, at his bands drummers place, but he weren’t there. Then we messed up his apartment, moved his furniture around, put all his things into a closet, and we wrote ‘Go’ to this place on a piece of paper, oh yeah, Mads also stamped his foot with one of those ‘Best before’ stamps. But after that he called us up, wanted to get his stuff in ’84. and later we had to travel to southern Denmark, he had called the police and we had to go to his place and infest ourselves."

- **Well, when your album is finally out, are you satisfied with it?**

  "Yeah, we’re satisfied, but the one we have recorded now I like better, and it’s ten times better. The album (‘Four Depressive Seasons’) only took 5 days. Now that we’ve relaxed and we’ve stayed in the studio for 3 days rehearsal and then 2 days recording we are happy."

- **Then you have some tour plans?**

  "Well, in November we’re going on tour with ATHEIST (AGRESSOR, WARGASM) in Europe."

- **How has your CD been doing?**

  "I actually don’t know, I’ve only seen one review of it. The one from Jam. But it’s selling okay, we hope to re-print it soon."

- **Your cover is a bit weird, have you chosen it yourself?**

  "Yeah, we didn’t want the guys from Progress to choose it, so it’s maybe a guy that we don't know that has chosen it. The reason why we didn’t chose it is because they had the CD we wanted on our normal logo."

- **On this ‘Soulstorm’ tape, it says that you’ll release the songs on an EP. Inform me about that point?**

  "It was another company that we had gotten a contract with, I can’t remember right now, but INFEST and ourselves wouldn’t let us do that, unless we broke ourselves. We’ll remix it, and maybe use it for the seasons as we recorded it and it consists of three tracks. It could be Progress or the next CD, and now we sent it to Progress as we have this contract in Europe."

- **When will we see new stuff from you?**

  "We’re entering the studio as soon as we have the money. We intended to be in the studio during December or January. It should be out in February."

- **Then you have recruited Gordon Milstedt (Morten Gilsted, FURIOSUS TRUMAV)?**

  "Well, he called us up with his ridiculous accent and asked if we needed a guitarplayer?. We did, and he said ‘well, I’m coming over’ with his total cheesy Copenhagen accent. Anyway, he was determined, and we rehearsed for a few days, entered the studio and we recorded the ‘Soulstorm’ tape. But he didn’t play with us on the last gig, as he took home, and we haven’t seen him since then, we’ll be with us on the tour."

The Danish scene finally seems to grow strongly these days. ILLDISPOSED is a total newcomer band. Most Danish bands are in my opinion quality bands. And I'm not trying to sound patriotic in any way, cuz I can already mention bands as SACRIFICIAL, AGONIZE, CAUSTIC, ICONOCLASM, INVOCATOR. ILLDISPOSED is a brutal death metal outlet with very powerful riffs and good breaks. Some few

The interview is answered by their manager Esben S. Sørensen so read on;

**Bandbiography**  
ILL DISPOSED got together during '91, coming from local bands; SLASHER and MORTITOR RAHM. The line-up is; Lasse D.R.B.-guitar, Hans Wagner-lead guitar, Bo Sommer-subwoofer, Michael Enewoldsen-drums and Ronnie R.B.-bass. Unlike most newcomers in death and grindcore, ILL DISPOSED are not a bunch of teenies who’ve had their first metal experience with METALLICA’s "And Justice For All...". These guys, who’re in their early or mid-twenties, are incarnated metalfreaks, with their roots going way back. Different backgrounds, stretching from punk to thrash and death metal, have resulted in a wide range of musical abilities such as proper solos, harmonies etc. It’s a very powerful sound and through this 5-track tape ("The Winter Of Our Discontent") (recorded during the 27th-29th January '92 in a 16-track DAT studio) captures an often-asked question; "Is solos an approach to metal music?" and if you’re into harmonic guitarwizardry, this is definitively a good appetizer for what to expect. Massive, repulsive, blooddripping riffs performed with a speed a tightness not surpassed by many. Most astonishing, however, is probably Bo’s vocals, growling hate, which is done without any kind of effects, whatsoever, apart from a few overdubs. Check us out and you’ll agree - THEY KILL."

**What have you released?**  
"Untill now only this demo, but;" (but what?? - CM)

**Future plans?**  
"Right we’re dealing with a french label called IN-FEST RECORDS who wants to release a cd with ILL DISPOSED. It’s a little label, though it’s distributed by Semaphore, Nuclear Blast and Wild Rags. We don’t know anything about the release-date, but I think we will have to wait half a year or so."

**A last word/something funny to say?**  
"That Denmark has become european football champions, even if they (almost) can’t play football. That’s one of the funniest things that has happened for a long time. (Gee, you must have a boring life - CM). The wierdoes gets all the luck. I think that’s why we have got the record-deal. Ha Ha."

Unleashing Metal Fury: The Rise of ILL DISPOSED

# ILLDISPOSED

A band that has been around since Denmark began spitting out death metal-bands is Illdisposed. After contributing on the "Fuck You We’re From Denmark Vol. 1"-compilation they sent out their debut-album "Four Depressive Seasons" in 1993. In 1994 they issued their second release, this time a mini-album, "Return From Tomorrow", and in 1995 their third release "Submit" saw the light of the day. By that occasion I finally, after several misunderstandings, caught an Illdisposed guitarist, Lasse B. Dark, on the phone from Århus. Submit and read on!

"I think that we have had a lucky escape from this album", Lasse begins. "In six months I will of course not listen to that shit anymore, but I think that "Submit" is much better than our previous releases. When you start recording an album, everything can go wrong. I think that all has worked out our way this time. I went down to the studio after the others, absolutely drunk as I was, heard the recordings. But what the hell, nobody hears that anyway exept from me and the rest of the band ‘cause they know me."

How did you come up with the title "Submit"? "Well, Bo (Summer, vocals - Red.) had made a song which he named "Submit" and we thought it sounded pretty cool, so we decided to entitle the album "Submit". It is a very simple title and in my ears the word is also great. We also considered other titles, some of which can’t remember by now, but actually that doesn’t matter anyway", Lasse says. "I think the cover is OK, maybe because it is dark. Morten (Gilsted, guitarist - red.) is very interested in dark stuff and he has a hand in these things too. And then I know that we had a good photographer, who did all the work on "Submit" too."

## JAN-OUT TOMMY-IN

Since the very beginning of Illdisposed, Jan Borsing has been behind the recorders whenever a new album was to be recorded. On "Submit" we decided to have a new producer, Tommy Hansen. So why this replacement, I asked Lasse. "Tommy is a hell of a producer and has produced a lot of albums. Jan is also a good producer, but what we made together with him simply didn’t work out. We are still good friends and we drink a lot of beers together but the cooperation just didn’t work out." And I am sure Tommy has done a good job again by producing another brilliant album.

## LARS-OUT ROLF-IN

Another replacement in the Illdisposed-camp is drummer Lars Hvid who has been replaced by the Caustic-guitarist, Rolf Hansen. "We had just returned from a tour in East-Germany when Lars called us up from his home in Esbjerg and told us that he wasn’t to play with us anymore. He simply wailed out working with Illdisposed. We think that Lasse needs a high level of satisfaction, you know, and when he started working again though as a hairdresser it was very difficult to manage both things. Well, what can we do! Rolf didn’t tell us until just before a tour, so he didn’t play right away!" But how did you keep in contact with Rolf then? "I talked to...

what’s his name, the fat pig...? Eh, Perle! He told me that there was a drummer in Esbjerg who had moved to Århus, but I told him to fuck off ‘cause we HATE Esbjerg! It’s a god damn disgusting city! Not to provoke or anything, we just think so. But then we picked him up in Bo’s Skoda anyway and, well, now he’s playing in Illdisposed. Rolf is definately the best musician in the band. He plays better guitar than both Morten and I.”

Illdisposed is known for being a band that’s drinking as hell. So I thought that Lars’s departure could have something to do with that he couldn’t keep up with the drinking. But that wasn’t the case...”Well, Lars could drink a hell of a lot of beers. But Rolf also tries. He drinks until he pukes and then he continues to sleep. He really got the point of what it’s all about!”

**BEER, BEER AND BEER!!!**

“It’s hard to say how much we drink... Once there were some lists where you could tick off every time you drank a beer. There was a scale for 21 drinks, which is the usual amount of drinks per week a male can drink before it damages one’s health. So we ticked off the drinks we drank, and the scale was filled up within one day. I’m actually drunk every day, except from this Monday. Yesterday I was also fucking drunk because we were in Ikast watching football. Beer doesn’t cost a penny now adays either. You can get drunk as hell for around 60 Danish krones. In Illdisposed we drink the Danish lager “Krone”, but when we are tired of going all the way to buy ”Krone” we just buy ”Krudtugler” in Aldi. “Krudtugler” are brewed on Westfunen. I tried work experience in the brewery that makes “Krudtugler” once. But I wasn’t aloud to drink during the work experience, so I had to go on the toilet with some songs to drink all the time!”

**VIOLENCE AND ROLE MODELS**

The members of Illdisposed haven’t got anything to do with each other beside from playing in a band together. “Well, we actually never see each other in the band. I talk to my brother, Ronnie, who plays bass in Illdisposed, once in a while, and I also have a date with Bo and Jens Boning tonight, but beside that we almost never see each other. Actually, I can only stand the others when I am drunk! When we recorded “Four Depressive Seasons” we had a guitarist called Hans Vagner. He had to drink 12 beers before he could play guitar, and therefore we threw him out of the band. But today I also have to be drunk as hell before you hand me that a guitar!”, Lasse laughs. But that the members of Illdisposed can’t stand each other is only one problem. Illdisposed are also being accused for breaking everything back-stage when they are on tour. “Everybody says that it is our fault when something breaks”, Lasse says sighing, “but we never start breaking things back-stage”, he continues. “If, for example after a gig, with this seven support-band, always breaks the small trees down and tears posters from walls and other shit, so people know that they have visited the place -mark ”Wow, we play with Illdisposed we are tough“!!! and then people beat them up! But we never took the first step”, Lasse claims. Some people also blame Illdisposed’s vocalist Bo Summer for beating up the audience when they are playing live. “Well, I know that Bo sometimes happens to spread one's fingers and so on and sometimes he’s to close to smack the face of a spectator. But some people also think its very stupid to go up on stage and pit their finger in Boes mouth when we are playing. Some bands might think that that is cool but we don’t! Nobody should fuck with us when we’re playing, but if it happens? Then we just better go and fuck with Morten, god damn it!!!” Talking about the playing life it could also be very hectic if you had as many jobs as they got. “In February we’ll be on tour in Denmark and when you have just played some places We’ve never played before,” says Lasse and talk about the trip to Holland and that they also can plan Copenhagen and especially Horsens! It’s a nice city!,There exist some lunatics! Okay, Morten and Lasse plays Nerkoise apart from Illdisposed. But when he’s together with the guys who Shes' forgot all about them when he is going to take recordings. I always wanted to do some recordings at home, but well, he’s also an idiot! There are of course some bands in Copenhagen we’ve got style, but deep inside I know they are some spastics anyway!”

**TEAM-WORK**

When the solidarity in Illdisposed is as low as it is, then how the hell do they make their songs?” When we have a song we then listen to what we’ve got, and see how bad and shitty the song is. He never shows up at rehearsals either, and he never rehearses with us. Then, when we’re going to record an album we has to pay for the expenses as far as we work. Then he hopes there are few euros when we’re finished, so on the road, we can do fucking “Great” team-work, eh!, I wondered if Lasse heard the same thrash metal like me, and he replied: “Yes, of course. All this English faggot-pop from the mid 80’s. I’ve listened to such a few Depeche Modes. I think. When you turn 23-24 years old you start accepting the irony. Once I heard heavy metal again and learned that its another style. Maybe I was too mistaken just like before. “Reign in Blood”-album but now I don’t listen to that shit anymore. ## DIE KINGDOM

As some of you Danish readers might know, Illdisposed wrote the soundtrack for Lars Von Trier's movie "Riget" (could be translated as "The Kingdom"). The soundtrack is entitled "Die Kingdom" and can be found on the latest Illdisposed release "Submit". I asked Lasse how they got this job. "Mega Records, who released the soundtrack for the first "Riget" called us up one day. They had heard our records and thought that we were cool, and they wanted us to make a soundtrack for the next "Riget". So we went in to over Tommy and recorded "Die Kingdom". It is a pop-song with the usual four chords 'cause you can't just make an ordinary gore-song to this project, it is a soundtrack after all," he says, not unlike other bands that have recorded video-plays for Illdisposed. "We were supposed to record it with song, but we didn't have the time, 'cause we were supposed to shoot with a camera crew the day after. We would shoot in different locations and we'll hit the city and make a lot of ordinary rings go mad and run amok!! We have also considered being arrested by the police, but the problem with that is that you can't show things like that in a video anywhere, if it isn't a put-up job. But it is expensive as hell to rent police-costumes. It would be rather easy for us to get arrested by the police though, we could just break some windows and so. We have also some other ideas for the videos, but nothing has been planned yet!"

## BETRAYED!!!

Illdisposed have been labelled on the Danish record-company Progress Records for quite a while now, so I found it natural to ask about the relationship between label and band as it was the present time. "Right now", Lasse says, "the relationship has become mixed. In the beginning when we released our first album Progress were cool as hell and everything was great, the contacts and everything were signed, but as time passed by they became very stressed, so now there isn't like a direct cooperation when it comes to promotion. It is more like we are some kind of strangers. Progress tries to be butt-kissers as some other bands on this label. Sometimes Progress call us up asking if the band still exists, 'cause we never talk to them. But it is possible that we start talking German..." What??? Are you looking for another label? "Well, it would cost very much if Nuclear Blast would buy us out of the deal with Progress, but if we get a good offer then we're off!"

What about sales figures, I asked Lasse. "I haven't got any sales figures, Progress won’t tell us how we sell and that kind of shit, and that means money! Every three month we are supposed to get money from Progress but for a long time that has not happened again", Lasse sighs. We also had a great chat with the Progress who did a great job for us then. And what about future plans, I inquired. "Well we are in the studio now to record between that they wanted their asses, so that they went up and paid for what they miss, and they get as good socials that they did never before."

They are busy as hell, I asked why they are upset, and he says, "If we're stuck with Nuclear Blast, it would cause a big problem for us, 'cause the more we grow, the more the situation is likely to stay the same, before we get into the top of their label. But first we must sell 10,000!! There's plenty of time to do so! What happens till then is more like myself in the last album. I do everything myself now. That doesn't mean that we are one of those bands who pose beside what we take care of ourselves, whereas Konkhra get one page four-colour ad's in all sorts of magazines", he snaps.

The end of this interview is closing, so how is the future looking for Illdisposed, I asked Lasse curiously. "The future for Illdisposed is dark and worse", Lasse says, "we could do no more than the day...on it is holding a plastic bag in one or be home and die hanging on it", Lasse asks Bo, whereafter he continues the interview: "About my project-band Goat then an album will be released there without “where you at the same place everything is repeated because I did it myself too. But we'll release whatever when we get it released, so I ever get a label started... The band is very strong to say that it's hard to make a single to the world which is still all the black metal bands in Denmark and our albums are released to us don't understand the good or thin”, Lasse says as he snaps in the air by Bo's clumsy paws, Lasse ends this interview by saying, "Buy the Goat-album when it is released!!"

Denne EP er opfølgeren til det succesrige debut-album, "Four Depressive Seasons", og jeg kan med det samme røbe, at den ikke lever op til forventningerne. I det mindste ikke til mine forventninger. Numrene er blevet hurtigere, og endmere brutale, men samtidig vinger det desværre ikke så fedt mere. Der er ikke på sammen måde den fine spillen mellem brutalitet, melodi og humor, som kendetegnede debuten. Men i nogle nummer kan man dog stadig finde de gode gamle rytmer, hvor det swinger noget så genialt. Og budskabet, som altså går med de fleste, er desværre blevet en smule opbrugt, og man hører trods alt stadig en del af Bg. Bundløs blive skreget frem. Der er så bands på et par af sæder, hvor man lytter noget nær ren og skær Bundløs-sang frem. Her lyder det en smulle anderledes. Men dog tro mod numrene, som stadig passer den produktion, der ender siddensidet af den, lidt mere slanke. Melodi-stilen og enkelte af de steder, hvor stave rem brutal, og snap på kun, hvor tungt det kan lyde, dog så en gang imellem ret genialt, men vej til nok mere end et par nummer, og den ender langsomt.

Hvorfor blev jeres deal med INFEST RECORDS ikke til noget?
Fordi PROGRESS RED LABELS gav os et tilbud vi ikke kunne afslå.

I slutningen af det sidste nummer bliver der sagt "People die in their sleeps", men det er jo også brugt i RONKHA?

Der bliver sagt: "People die in their sleeps"; og vi vidste virkelig ikke at nogen der hedder KONKHAR har brugt det, der fra Ålborg? Har de lavet den der halv lav budget billedserie af rummet.

Apropo det sidste nummer. Hvad foregår der i det? Det lyder som en massevolderi horror gyser.

Jeg mener at ikke en massevoldtægt, forbavsende så mange, men der sker meget forskelligt.

Har I tænkt jer at få en 2. guitarist igen?
Jep, vi har allerede indspillet "Soulstorm Promotape 93", hvor vores nye guitarist Gordon Millsøen (ex. FURIOUS TRAUMA) spiller med på.

Hvorfor titlen "Four Depressive Seasons"?
Ja, vi havde jo egentlig tænkt os at kalde den "Four Seasons", men efter vores kære vinter så var det kommet os et skrøbeligt indtryk da i forvejen, så vi har ligesom bare smidt et extra ord op i mellem det hele.

Hvad er symboikken bag coveret?
Der er ingen symbolikken overhovedet, der blev os bare et smashy design efterligning af de aggens torkort der er ligesom.

Hvad inspirerer jer?
Ahrj, men det er mest ingenting.

Hvorfor vælger man et PR kun for denne cd?
Ja, oprindeligt, men nu smider de os på Europa tournee, de smider os der.

Hvor mange gange har I spillet uden for Århus?
På én gang, men så var det også med et mini-tur med CONFUSIONS (først Kalundborg, så Vordingborg), men så selvfølgeligt med bandene IMPALED NAZIREN og RIFLE (og vi nød os det).

Hvordan er Århus scenen? Engang var den jo stor?
Ja, men det gik vi alle ved en INVOCATOR i 1984-86 (7-86), nu er det selvfølgelig ved, nu de ting i København alle gange.

Planer for ILLDISPOSED?
Ja, vi har jo cirka 60 koncerter her resten af året i Danmark, hele Europa og tilsist i Polen, og så work shop, men vi samler alle stykke deres promotions ting.

Efter at have hørt denne CD står man "flæret" og kigger på sit anlæg! Med voldsomme rytnmeguitar, buldrende trommer og mega growl-vocals brager ILL DISPOSED her gennem lydmuren. De tre års "abstinence" tar', med "Four Depressive Seasons", fat hvor "The Winter Of Our Discontent" dernæst slap, og serverer en gang udiomuth dansk brutalitet, med stærke rødder hos amerikanske acts som CANNIBAL CORPSE og SUFFOCATION. ILL DISPOSED har bare den snits, der hæver det hele noget over dette, efter min mening, noget kriserante amerikanske dødsmetal. Four Depressive Seasons: A Sonic Assault by ILL DISPOSED

Aggresor, Illdisposed, Wargasm og Sinister, Rytmeposten Odense d.17 november 1993.

Dette var første gang at den Odensæanske forening Undergrunden Rykker skulle prøve kræfter med et internationalt arrangement. Oprindeligt var der annonceret at Atheist skulle være hovednavn, men af en eller anden grund blev de slettet til fordel for Hollandske Sinister, unægteligt et ret dårligt bytte.

Om det var dette bytte, eller almindelig undergrunds sløvhed der gjorde at dette arrangement ikke trak det forventede antal mennesker, ved jeg ikke men en kendsgerning var det at rytmeposten ikke var mere end halvt fyldt, da første band,

Illdisposed: Brutal Heavy Metal from Denmark

In my opinion ILLDISPOSED's debut demo "The winter of our discontent" is far the most brutal danish demo ever! And that demo has secured them a deal with French Infest Rec. Since I like the demo so much, I had to know to know more about ILLDISPOSED, so I wrote down a couple of questions, and send them to ILLDISPOSED's manager Esben, who handed them on to the I.D. guys. I must admit, that I find most of their answers as totally ridiculous, so I don't think that you should take their answers to serious.

- ILLDISPOSED's biografii!?

The I.D. history starts in June '91, where Michael Renovialdsen and Hans Wagner (both from the Arhus band SLASHER) picks up Bo Sommer from the gutter, where we'll have to say, that he was compeled by an urge to a couple of beers too many. First line-up: Michael - drums, Hans - guitar, Bo - bass-vocal. A couple of hundred cases of beer later (approx. 3 months) another guitarist joined. The big talent called Lasse was hired because of his long hair, although probably that he had his own gear. After that, we had to get a real bassist (Ronnie), couse Bo couldn't handle both the above-bass and the vocals. At that time we were almost ready to record "The winter...".

- Recently you relased your debut demo "The winter...", are you satisfied with it?

To begin with we were pretty satisfied with it. But it not clear, that we already have changed alot in the short while there's been since the release. The sound on the demo is very "nice" and doesn't live up to the brutal sound we have live.

- Please tell me about the songs on "The winter.....is it a concept demo?

Our lyrics is not conecied in any concept that was even the idea that they should have been printed on the cover in the first place.

- The intro is pretty weird, is it a lion (or another animal) which belch forth the strange sounds/growls?

We've "borrowed" a little from some sort of a test-CD. It's of course completely legal to do such a thing. It's some sort of pissed lion, trying to get loose from its chains.

- Did you use any vocal-effects on "The winter..."?

There s no sort of - vocal effects on the demo at all, except from the a couple of overdubs and the little growl in the song "The winter...". Only for - the first time we put a couple of effects on some places, but then we'll like that, the "energy" disappeared. So the voice on the demo is exactly like Bo's normal alcohol voice. And that way should everyone do it!

- Your music sounds pretty inspired of "american death metal, is it? What inspires you?

Do you think so? We fucking sound just as the swedish bands, as we sound the american! We just listen...

Bo: "Det er sku' ikke fordi de ikke kan li' os, for så snart vi er færdige med at spille kommer de rendende og vil have autografer og alt muligt andet pis og lort. Vi er dem der har solgt mest, så folk flipper helt klart ud over det vi laver, de gør det bare på en mærkelig måde."  
Morten: "Det er også fordi den første halvdel af turen, det har været discount afdelingen, vi har ikke været i store byer endnu, med undtagelse af Køln, og vi er blevet sat på først alle de gode dage, hvilket har været lidt et minus. Men nu skal vi til Hamburg og nogle andre store steder, og det kommer helt klart til at rykke."  
Udb: "Har det været hårdt?"  
Bo: "Nej, det er sku' mere fridagene der er hårde." (Her skulle det have fremgået at det er drikkeriet der er hovedårsag til at det er fridagene der er hårde, men det har vi som sagt valgt ikke at omtale. ed.)  
Udb: "Har folk på jeres Tour, været skuffet over at Atheist, som det oprindeligt var annonceret, ikke var med på plakaten alligevel, og hvad var egentlig årsagen til at de ikke var med?"  
Morten: "De røg på junk."  
Bo: "Jeg tror de var blevet trætte af Europa efter deres Tour med Benderiction, for et par måneder siden."  
Morten: "Der er faktisk overhovedet ikke nogen der har snakket om dem."  
Ronnie: "Der var vist odds stort set ingen mennesker til de fleste steder i Frankrig der blev helt aflyst, så de har simpelthen skummet den."  
Udb: "Der er ellers en del indendørs arrangementer nu hvor det er vinter..."  
Morten: "...og så er de steder man spiller meget mindre i forhold til sommeren!"  
Udb: "(firmanavn) plejer og betale "cash up front", i kolde danske kontanter."  
Udb: "Hvad synes i ellers om udviklingen inden for dødmetal?"  
Bo: "Det er sku' nok ved at være sket. Vi har kontrakt på to plader til. Vi laver en EP, til Januar el. februar, og så laver vi en LP, og efter det går vi nok over og spiller techno, og så gider vi sku' ikke det her lort mere."  
Udb: "Er det så et udtryk for at i mener at det hele er blevet for udvandet?"  
Bo: "Det er røvsygt."  
Morten: "Nu kan man jo ikke engang se en gammel lille Heavy Brain på 12 år uden at han har død band tøj på. Du kan spørge et hvilketsomhelst død band om de kan nævne ti bands, hvis navne de har set på trøjer til deres koncerter, som de aldrig har hørt om."  
Udb: "Det kan også være fordi at de bands der spiller aldrig høre hinanden?"  
Bo: "Der er en del af dem der skænnæs om og være det mest elendige, og så er der et få der skiller sig ud og stadigt køre stilen."  
Udb: "Kan det da et der er ikke press bands til hele tiden at forny sig, og for ikke også blevet mere kræsne med hvad de vil have?"  
Morten: "For halvandet år siden var der en masse bands der kunne tage ud, og på bare et stod dødmetal på plakaten kom der mennesker, og de bands har få dage til at i starten spille, men nu kommer bands til de helt små steder et."  
Udb: "Hvad mener i om den danske scene?"  
Bo: "Den stinker. Der er tal på der er 100 mennesker på de shows vi spiller meget sjældent mere end ca. de nationale og steder hvor der er lidt flere død bands er der folk ca.300."  
Morten: "Siden sidste år et er det men der mgængstige minester siden slutningen 1991, og et af indsatsområdet forselv de fleste små bands, men det har meget at grund sker, er undergrunden skal mange engelske?"  
Udb: "Ja de spørgmål, hvis der er vi på, der er who dey seen......er det egentlig i står, har undgået beeng kom jeres label?"  
Morten: "Det kan i ikke kan blive ved med at at tage os bli."

Udb: "Jacob Hansen fra Invocator, har da
udtalt, at man altid kan udvikle dødsmetal til

Morten: "Det er Jacob der siger det, og ikke
mig."

Ronnie: "Det har Jacob sku' egentlig nok
ret i. Det perfekte dødsmetal, det er ikke lavet
endnu. Der er stadigv en masse ting man kan
lave."

Morten: "Jeg vil godt se nogen overgå
"Effigy Of The Forgotten" med Suffecation."

Ronnie: "Man kan spille på mange måder.
Man spiller Svensk, eller man kan spille
melodigst som mange Svenske bands"

Bo: "Og vi kombinerer begge ting."

Morten: "Ja vi vil faktisk gerne kombinere
noget popsodt, med noget ultra brutalt."

Udb: "Hvordan med fremtidige mål og
ambitioner?" 

Morten: "Det kan da være at vi finder ud af
at vi kan spille dobbelt så hurtigt, og have det
dobbelt så sjovt, og så gør vi det."

Udb: "Hvad med U.S.A, det er jo der man
altid hører at folk stiler mod at komme over.?"

Ronnie: "Markedet for dødsmetal der, er
noget mindre end det er i Europa, og hvordan
det ellers ser ud i U.S.A det ved jeg ikke
rigtigt. Jeg har hørt nogle rygter fra Konkhra,
og efter sigende skulle scenen være endnu
mere elendig der, end den er herovre."

Morten: "Man gør jo alt for at tage på 
turne til Amerika og det kan trække. De har
et eller andet specielt over sig." 

Ronnie: "Man skal også have udgivet en
plade, så der er et eller andet materiale
at arbejde videre med."

Morten: "Det der med dødsmetal vil tro der
er mange der foretrækker de Svenske bands,
U.S.A amerikanerne."

Ronnie: "Nej fan'me ikke Japan."

Ronnie: "Det er der det største marked er."

Morten: "Det er også der de bare sidder på
deres flade røv, og bare glor og klapper
mellem numrene."

Udb: "I er meget utilfredse med at folk bare
sidder."

Morten: "Ja, helt sikkert. De kan sku' lige så
godt bede os at lade være med at spille, altså så
er det sku' da sjovere at stå nede i øveren og
drikke nogle baj....(Så det æd du-ed.)

Udb: "Hvad synes i om de ting der sker i
Norge lige nu m.h.t den Norske Black Metal
Mafia."

Morten: "Hold kæft, jeg måbede. Min hage
hang helt nede ved knæene, da jeg læste om
det."

Ronnie: "Jeg har ikke hørt noget der er gået
virkelig gang i den der indavlede
Nordmand."

Udb: "Kan i støtte det?"

Ronnie: "Ja, jeg kan sku' godt støtte det."

Udb: "Tror i ikke at det kan være en
medvirkende årsag til at døds metalen er ved
at gå ned?"

Ronnie: "Nej tvært imod, de har sikkert
skubbet salgstallene op med 20%, og du skal
jo regne med at dem der køber dødsmetal
plader, de har ikke for meget hjerne."

Morten: "Man behøver absolut ikke være et
geni for at høre dødsmetal."

Udb: "Kunne i tænke jer at turnere i
Norge?"

Morten: "Det kunne da være fedt nok, men
de skulle nødig ende som navhoverder, og
forsøge at slå os ihjel." 

Ronnie: "Jeg hader ikke satanister på samme
måde som i Norge. Det pentagram vi for det
satans uheld at markat at Satan støtter os, og
så ser vi hvad der sker."

Udb: "D.v.s at satanisme som sådan spiller
ingen rolle for jer, i jeres daglige arbejde."

Ronnie: "Nej vi er kun glade for at vi
får dernede også."

Without crossing my fingers I can say that this the best product/CD ever released by a Danish band!! ILLDISPOSED's demo tape was great and very promising. But this is more than I'd ever hoped for! Three old demosongs (new, better version) and six new ones. All being the most pure and brutal Death Metal tunes! These guys deliver so much energy/brutality with their straight-in-your-face gargling Death Metal that you won't believe your own ears if you buy this one - Which you should since it's a real killer!! The rythm section, the guitars, the vocals, they're simply taking away your breath! ILLDISPOSED even take their time to make fun of (Danish) KONKHRA. ILLDISPOSED is a killer band, but I don't appreciate their lousy (star + alcohol) attitudes! The production, by the way is one of the best I have heard lately!!

Unleashed Brutality: ILLDISPOSED's 'Four Depressive Seasons'

Er der nogle emner der, så godt som altid, går igen i forbindelse med Illdisposed interviews, så må det være brutalitet, drikkevaner og slagsmål. Disse emner er efter vores bedste overbevisning efterhånden temmelig fortærskede, og vi vil derfor forsøge at undgå dem i det følgende interview, og istedet, ulige alle andre danske musik blade, forsøge at finde ud af hvad dette band ellers står for. Hvis de da ellers står for andet.

Vi møder Illdisposed i Odense under deres Euro–tour og med en kombination af list og kløgt får vi 3 af medlemmerne lokket med oven på.

De 3 tilstedeværende Bo, forsanger, Ronnie, bas og Morten guitar lægger, hvad der vel er meget betegnende for Illdisposed, ud med at skændes om hvorvidt maden, de har indtaget, under deres Euro–tour, har været i orden eller til at brække sig over. Menningerne er delte men kan forliges med at Morten fremover ikke vil blande lever til spisning hos Bo, hvilket Mortens synes ganske letet over. Nu sker der der herefter ting som den danske presse endu ikke har fundet ud af hvordan de skal anføre og at vor bussen lugter af prut. Da da er gjort er vi endelig klar til at snakke om lidt hvordan den igangværende Euro–Tour er forløbet hidtidet videre.

- **Have you got any new songs ready? Titles?**  
  After "the winter..." demo, we have made two new songs, they haven't been titled yet. The new songs sound a bit different than the old ones. The first one is the most brutal we've ever done, while the other one is much more nice. But don't fucking worry, it ain't nice at all.

- **How often do you rehearse?**  
  I.D. rehearse 15 hours per week. But then it must be said, that much of the time is being spend with sitting and yelling at each other, and of course we also enjoy a couple of beers in the reh.room.

- **What do you think of the danish scene?**  
  What scene? Der aren't more good danish bands, than I have fingers on my right hand! (How many fingers do you have on your right hand then? ed.).

- **Where did you record "The winter..." What did you think about being in the studio? How much did it cost you?**  
  We recorded "The winter..." in a 16 track studio, which is pretty cool. The studio is about 10 metres from our rehearsal room, and therfore it seemed natural to record our first demo there. We used 4 days in the studio, and all together it costed 5000 Dkr (about 850 dollars. ed.)

- **How has the response on "The winter..." been?**  
  So far the response have only been small, but we have got a letter from Poland, where we seem to be the absolute best death metal band. But we're not very known, and therfore we aren't exactly drowning in album offers.

- **What do you do besides of playing music?**  
  Lasse - unimployed.  
  Bo - unimployed.  
  Michael - unimployed.  
  Ronnie - digging holes at one of the municipality's exellent projects.  
  Hans - Plumber/"Plummer".

- **What are your future-plans?**  
  A new demo, which we this time will try to make perfect. It's definately going to be the most brutal ever released in Denmark. No nice intros.

- **Have you got any last words?**  
  Fuck off!
